Q:
I have pimples all over my buttocks and some on my leg. What does this mean?

A:
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to tell what’s going on without an examination.

Pimples could be caused by a variety of skin conditions, from infections to eczema to psoriasis. Many of these conditions are worsened by sweat, and sometimes are worse in the summer and when wearing occlusive (tight) underclothing.

If the pimples are persistent, you should consult with your physician or nurse practitioner. Most of these skin conditions are treatable, so don’t lose hope.
