Q:
Is it safe to sniff nail polish?

A:
Thanks for your question because it is an important topic. We do not feel you will do yourself any good by sniffing anything, including nail polish. In fact, the fumes from nail polish and other commonly used products can change your brain chemistry and permanently damage your brain and nervous system. Sniffing also destroys other important parts of your body such as your lungs, kidneys, liver, blood and bones. Once damaged, these parts can not readily repair themselves. That’s how sniffing can destroy you.

Sniffing is also habit forming. One day, just for fun, you sniff some nail polish or another substance just to try it. A "friend" said it will make you "high." Unfortunately, the next day you are hooked. Or worse, dead from suffocation when the inhaled fumes take the place of oxygen in your blood.
