Q:
I'm a 15-year-old boy and have been 5'6" for at least three years. Will I ever grow again? If so, how tall and when should puberty end for me?

A:
It’s unusual for a male not to be growing at all at age 15. Even if a boy starts puberty early (age 10), he still grows a little at age 15. It may not always be noticed though, especially if you are hoping to grow even taller. Sorry, but I can’t tell you when puberty will end for you, because I don’t know how far along you are now and when it began. For most boys, puberty lasts about four years from initial testicular enlargement to complete genital growth. Most boys will reach their final adult height by age 17 or 18. I bet your doctor could help give you specific answers if you go in for a physical examination.
