Q:
I am 15 and going through puberty. I have little tiny bumps on my testicles. Is that normal?

A:
I suspect that you’ve noticed tiny bumps on your scrotum (sac) rather than on your testicles (balls). If they are yellow or flesh colored and painless, they most likely are small cysts on the skin - perfectly normal. If they are red and occur at the base of your pubic hairs, they may be infected hair follicles (folliculitis). If the bumps you are feeling are actually lumps inside on the testicles and not outside on the scrotum, it’s important for you to be checked by your doctor.
