Q:
I have veins on my penis. Is this normal?

A:
Absolutely, it is normal for you to have veins on your penis. There are a large number of veins surrounding the penis and an especially large vein on the top of the penis called the dorsal vein of the penis.

Remember, in order to get an erection a large amount of blood is brought by arteries to the sinuses (spaces) in the body of the penis. This blood must then drain out of the penis through veins in order to allow the penis to become flaccid (soft) again.
