I have to use tampons because I am on a swim team, but it hurts a lot. My mom and I have followed the directions but it hurts because I’m always tense and have never had sexual activity. What else can I do?

I can’t decrease my training or increase body fat as I train to compete at an elite level.
I'm a 14-year-old female and recently started playing volleyball in PE. I have started to get these tiny, purplish-red dots all over my arms where the ball has been hitting me. Last summer I lost 10 pounds and subsequently stopped getting my period. Later, I joined a high school wrestling team and lost several more pounds.
