I’m a 14 year old boy and I am constantly working out. I’m in many sports such as track, cross country, soccer and I run marathons. Do you think I am doing too much?
I’m trying to gain some muscle in my body. I really want to work on my pectorals and my abdominals. I have seen on Web sites that it says that if you have a layer of fat that it won’t show? Is there a workout routine I can do? I don’t really have much equipment. I have some dumbbells and a treadmill.
I used to eat a lot and then make myself throw it all up. This was a huge struggle for me for two years. I am better now- it has been 5 years since I purged for this reason. I’m worried about a side effect I’m now noticing. If I get a bad virus and throw up, my eyes swell up and I get small pin-pricks of purple and red spots around my eyes. Did bulimia cause it?
Is it better to exercise before you eat or after?
I'm a 16-year-old girl. I weigh 130 lbs. and am 5'3. I play on two soccer teams, and just finished a season of basketball. I also run daily. I eat well and I still have fat. What's wrong, why am I not losing weight?
I'm 15, almost 16. I do plenty of sports and participate in gym. I weigh about 100-105lbs, have small breasts (32A), have developed pubic hair, odor (sweat lots) and acne. If I stopped playing sports, would I finally start my period? Or is it because I’m too small for my age? If needed, I’ll talk to my doctor.

I have to use tampons because I am on a swim team, but it hurts a lot. My mom and I have followed the directions but it hurts because I’m always tense and have never had sexual activity. My coach told me I’m not supposed to feel it, but I can and it really hurts. It hurts even more when I take it out. I know I’m doing the directions correctly, because I have tried many times. What else can I do?
