I sprained my ankle in basketball in December of 1999. It was really bad and I couldn't walk on it for over a week then I started using crutches. The bruse went half way up my calf. I took about a month off of basketball before praticing again and playing. I was wearing a brace all the time for walking and playing basketball, but I fell on it again about two months later, it didn't get sprained again, but the swelling has never gone completely down since I injured it in December which was over 2 months ago. Basketball is now over and I want to start track but I am wondering if that would be a good idea. It still hurts a lot some times.
